Part of the hugely successful IMS World Series, this event will build upon the recent IMS 2.0 World Forum and will closely follow the well established SDP Global Summit. It will cater to the growing interest in Service Delivery Platforms, and how they relate to the core IMS architecture. By combining SDP with IMS, Informa Telecoms & Media creates an opportunity for carriers, vendors, cable operators, content providers, application developers and content providers to compare and contrast all the available solutions in one comprehensive and incisive conference.
While consensus around IMS is building worldwide, in North America SDP is growing at a fast rate, with the continent's share for SDP investment expected to jump from 16% in 2007 to 25% in 2010. Many questions arise on how IMS and SDP will co-exist and how telcos will utilise them to drive forward service innovation and to generate revenue.
- What types of services are more likely to benefit from SDP and what services from IMS?
- Is the SDP another silo or should it be seen as a crucial element for the success and true realisation of IMS?
- Should IMS and SDP simply co-exist or should they be seen as complimentary?
All this and much more will be at the centre of the attention in Dallas on November 5th - 6th at IMS/SDP North America.
